EL FANTASMA (THE PHANTOM)

Inevitably spread between New York, Caracas, and Buenos Aires, at EL FANTASMA we focus on collectively or individually creating films that respond to our needs, from no-budget experimental fictions and creative archival-documentaries to narrative & hybrid features. We seek to make and question cinema, dissecting our cultural, political, and ethnic origins, as well as other important daily obsessions that always arise.

In addition to this, we help others finish their movies, both in the graphic area (posters, packages) and by serving as a link in the post-production stage: editing, color, sound design/mix, and consulting, monitoring the whole process.

Our films have been screened and awarded at festivals such as Locarno, BFI, Mar del Plata, Sitges, Edinburgh, Brussels, Sheffield DocFest, Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse, Uruguay Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Tacoma Film Festival, Third Horizon, Curtas Río de Janeiro Short Film Festival, Beijing Short Film Festival & more.
