EL FANTASMA collective + post

Inevitably spread between the United States (NYC + IOWA) and Caracas, EL FANTASMA focuses on the collective and individual creation of films that respond to our needs, from short experimental fiction and creative archival documentaries to narrative and hybrid feature films. We seek to make and question cinema, dissecting our cultural, political, and ethnic origins, as well as other important daily obsessions that always arise.

In addition to this, we help others complete their films, both in the graphic area (posters, press kits) and by serving as a liaison and coordinator throughout the post-production stage (editing, color, sound design and mixing, finishing, etc.).

Our films have been screened and awarded at festivals such as Locarno, Rotterdam, BFI, Mar del Plata, Sitges, Edinburgh, Bruselas, Nouveau Cinema, Camden IFF, Sheffield DocFest, Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse, Festival Internacional Cinematográfico del Uruguay, Brooklyn Film Festival, Tacoma Film Festiva, & others.
