EL FANTASMA (THE PHANTOM)

Inevitably spread between New York, Caracas, and Buenos Aires, at EL FANTASMA we focus on collectively or individually creating films that respond to our needs, from no-budget experimental fictions and creative archival-documentaries to narrative & hybrid features. We seek to make and question cinema, dissecting our cultural, political, and ethnic origins, as well as other important daily obsessions that always arise.

In addition to this, we help others finish their movies, both in the graphic area (posters, packages) and by serving as a link in the post-production stage: editing, color, sound design/mix, and consulting, monitoring the whole process.

Our films have been screened and awarded at festivals such as Locarno, BFI, Mar del Plata, Sitges, Edinburgh, Bruselas, Nouveau Cinema, Camden IFF, Sheffield DocFest, Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse, Festival Internacional Cinematográfico del Uruguay, Brooklyn Film Festival, Tacoma Film Festiva, & entre otros.
